About Gabriel
Gabriel is Managing Director at FGO Finance Group, with a career that has touched every side of the lending table. He's also an active investor in private and public companies, so he reads a deal from both sides of the capital stack, debt and equity.
He started as a consultant inside Australian and US financial institutions, including time embedded in the business banking centres of one of Australia's largest banks, mapping the loan process alongside senior business bankers and redesigning how lending decisions were made. His most recent role before FGO was General Manager of Uber's US and Canada Financial Services business, running the P&L across lending for restaurants, card issuing, instant cashouts for drivers and cross-border money movement.
At FGO he works from the other side, between lenders and the businesses and people who need capital. His strategy and operations background drives FGO's growth: he leads business development, marketing and operations, and runs the brokerage on a structured process with clear status updates for clients.
Gabriel is closely involved in Australia's ETA and search fund community. Having seen acquisition entrepreneurship reshape business ownership in the US, he helps first-time buyers find the right financing and structure their deals.
